Tindia & Nevetek Zenekar Táncház

2025-05-13T17:00:00.000Z

Our much-loved Tindia Dance House is joined this folk season by our dear chef's band, the Laughs. An unmissable evening, don't miss it!

Sometimes one, sometimes two, rounds of even or round dance variations, people rushing to the bar for pints of soda and beer between two tunes, while the band just boogie and grind...

Guaranteed hip flicks, hangover muscle fever and sweaty duds (for those who don't bring a change of clothes).

Schedule

The band Nevetek started to form in 2019 from a group of friends from Budapest who were friends of Balkan dance-dance. For many decades, our lives have been permeated by the love of Balkan music and dance. We have been avoiding our respected musician friends and instruments until one day we decided to play for our own entertainment.

At the beginning of 2020, the idea of performing ourselves and our music on stage for our friends and the public was first raised in the context of a friend's serious illness.

Our repertoire mainly includes the music we like to dance to: we have selected our favourites from Armenia, Macedonia, Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia, Thrace and Pondos, among others.

We believe that dancing and music are good. Dancing, music and fun are an integral part of our lives. For us, every day spent dancing and playing music is a holiday. It could be our motto, as Democritus said long ago: "Life without holidays: a long journey without a host."
