From the age of 5, Sissel-Jo Gazan (Denmark) spent 3 years sailing the Mediterranean with her mother, writing letters and short stories to those back home about her experiences, and that's when she got into writing. He continued to travel and travel the world, and has lived in Berlin with his family since 2005. He graduated in 2004 with a degree in paleontology and although he had published books before, his breakthrough was his novel The Dinosaur Feather, published in 2008. His novels always contain elements of crime fiction, with a subtle social science thread and a socially critical tone. In Hungarian, his books include The Feather of the Dinosaur (Jaffa, 2018, trans. Viktória Sulyok), Ink Mushroom (Jaffa, 2020, trans. Viktória Sulyok), White Flowers (Jaffa, 2021, trans. Viktória Sulyok).
The author's books will be available for sale and book signings will be possible.
PesText's first big launch this year is a two-day spring festival, PesText Nordic, organised in collaboration with the Scandinavian House. The Scandinavian House is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and the idea for the series of events at the Three Ravens on 19-20 May was born. PesText Nordic brings many of the best known and exciting representatives of Scandinavian literature to Budapest.
