The Joy
The Joy is a South African band from KwaZulu-Natal that has become known worldwide for its genre-blending sound and soulful harmonies. Their debut single, Isencane Lengane, and their EP Amabutho (2021) were huge hits and praised by stars such as Alicia Keys, Sam Smith, and Jennifer Hudson.
Schedule
The band has appeared on prestigious shows such as The Jennifer Hudson Show and Later... with Jools Holland. They have also collaborated with various international artists, such as Doja Cat, and in 2023 they released their project Shades of Love with The Blessed Madonna, which was very popular and featured on BBC Radio 1 playlists. Most recently, they released an EP titled The Remixes, in which they reworked their own live recordings with local DJs. Their music is a celebration of culture, togetherness, and unity, and their motto is: “Life made us friends, music made us brothers.”
Shipyard Island (Óbuda Island)
Óbudai Island, also known as Hajógyári Island, is an island in the Danube in the administrative district of Budapest III. Óbudaisziget is also a part of the city of Budapest. It is a popular place for excursions, but it is not because of this that it has become better known, but because of the Sziget Festival, which has been held here every year since 1993.
