Lunchtime Concert - A Musical Treat𓏢🎻🍽️

Classical Concert Series Continue at HILDA Restaurant!

Organized jointly by students of the Art Instructor program at the Institute of Arts Mediation and Music at ELTE BTK and the HILDA Restaurant, the classical concert series are back and thriving!

📅On the first Sunday of July at 1:30 PM, a truly special concert will take place in the picturesque restaurant setting.

The performance will feature Elizabet Ferge on harp and Salamon Nagy on viola. Elizabet is currently pursuing her master's degree in classical harp at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, while Salamon studies viola at the Liszt Academy in Budapest. Both artists earned their diplomas in 2024 from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and have since participated in various musical projects, art exhibition openings, theatrical performances, and chamber music productions.

🎶 In the first part of the concert, Bernard Andrés' suite “Épices”—or “Spices”—will be performed. This unique work captures the mood and essence of seven spices through vivid musical colors: Nutmeg, Vanilla, Pistachio, Paprika, Saffron, Cinnamon, and Tonka Bean, plus Ginger—all served up in every sense of the word. More than just a musical experience, Épices is a kind of taste journey, with each piece evoking the character of a specific spice through sound. As a harpist himself, Andrés has an intimate understanding of the instrument's potential to “season” music with rare textures and techniques.

✨ The concert will conclude with two beloved melodies, beautifully arranged for harp and viola: Gershwin’s unforgettable Summertime, and the timeless Scarborough Fair, made famous by Simon & Garfunkel.
