Lekvarherceg does not want to, and perhaps cannot, appear to be anything other than what he is: a simple country boy with no inhibitions left, whom life has left by the wayside and who has nothing left but physical pleasures. He could have stepped out of Zsigmond Móricz's short story Tragedy: his only ambition is to fill his belly and f***, so that in his hopeless situation, he can at least have that much joy.
