Founded in the early 1980s, Európa Kiadó, built around guitarist, singer, and director Jenő Menyhárt, is not a traditional band story. It operated in different lineups during its various eras, formulating and reformulating itself along different narratives.

These are preserved in the band's albums and recordings: Love '82, Jó lesz... '84, Popzene (1987), Szavazz rám (1989), Itt kísértünk – Love '92 (1993), Annak is kell (2013), ...Valahol lenni... (2016), Nincs kontroll EP (2018) and Love 2020 (2021). Over the years, Európa Kiadó has been able to reinvent itself time and again without ever becoming part of the mainstream, consistently maintaining its individual style, independent spirit, and relevance throughout its existence. Although its multi-generational audience knows classics such as Romolj meg, Küldj egy jelet, and Mocskos idők by heart, Európa Kiadó has never become its own tribute band throughout its various eras – it has been able to preserve the feeling of "here and now."

During its more than 40 years of existence, the band has had many emblematic line-ups. Currently, in addition to Jenő Menyhárt, the band members are János Bujdosó, András Kálmán, Attila Herr, and Lajos Gyenge. The latest album, Könnyedén jött apokalipszis (The Apocalypse Came Easily), is expected in the near future and is scheduled for release in 2025.
