We visit wineries, taste wines, meet winemakers, and are constantly searching for the very best bottles to bring to you. Every two weeks, we recreate this same experience for you — right at the chef’s table of Pingrumba. At our Palackpróba, you can chat with winemakers while tasting wines that usually can only be bought by the bottle — or can’t be tasted at all elsewhere.
Palackpróba is now closing yet another season; over the years, countless Hungarian and international wineries have been represented at our table — and this autumn, we’re planning the very same again.

PINGRUMBA
The Pingrumba restaurant in Buda, like Dobrumba, is inspired by our travels, but we're venturing further east than the Mediterranean region we've already explored. With one foot still planted in our favourite Middle Eastern and North African landscapes, we're crossing the Caucasus chains, exploring ancient Persia, jumping into the wild steppes of West Asia and not stopping until the ever-fabulous India. With our seasonally changing, thousand-and-one-flavoured dishes, fused with oriental spices and locally sourced ingredients, and our well-researched drinks menu, we aim to create not only memorable dishes but also communal experiences at the table. The Buda location was home to Ping Chinese Restaurant for twenty-some years. Now we've revived it and created a lush, open-air indoor garden. We designed the guest space to make families with small children, small and large groups feel like they are guests, thousands of kilometres east of Széll Kálmán Square.
