Guided tour in English of the exhibition "The Big Bang: Expanding Horizons of the Collection"
2026-04-12T15:00:00.000Z
The "Big Bang" exhibition traces the development of the museum’s collection based on the chronological distribution of its acquisitions. This chronologically unfolding framework is intersected by the logic of a thematic framework: as visitors move through the exhibition in its own chronological order, divided into separate sections, they encounter a unique cross-section of the ever-expanding collection.
To use an analogy, the selection is like a “family history” told through parallel narratives—if you will, the collection’s family album—which features numerous previously unseen “relatives” (works), while also conveying the micro-histories of individual works, the collection’s focal points, and the criteria for its curation.
