Since 2018, Smag På Dig Selv has been pushing the boundaries of the genre with a fusion of explosive acoustic techno, raw punk energy, and 90s-inspired dance music. With two saxophones, drums, and a poetic yet activist approach, the trio creates an intense and euphoric live experience. Their groundbreaking sound and wild stage presence have earned them a reputation as one of Denmark’s most compelling live acts—culminating in a 2024 Danish Music Award for “New Live Act of the Year.”
In April 2024, the band released their debut album, “SPDS,” which garnered critical acclaim. SPDS played to an audience of over 11,000 at the 2024 Roskilde Festival, their concert at Store Vega was sold out five months before the show, and the trio is now ready to take on the world. In 2025 alone, the trio performed at SXSW, ESN, The Great Escape, SummerStage NYC, the Athens Jazz Festival, and numerous other concerts around the world.
In March 2026, SPDS will release their second album on the Danish label Stunt.

Albert Holberg - drums
Thorbjørn Øllgaard - bass guitar and baritone saxophone
