On April 29, the A38 Ship will once again be enveloped in a dense, pulsating darkness: She Past Away is returning to Budapest. The duo already enchanted the A38 audience in September 2023, and now they’re back to draw us even deeper into their own hypnotic world.
She Past Away’s music is built on simplicity and a melancholic atmosphere. For over a decade, the band has been shaping the contemporary face of dark wave and post-punk: cold, mechanical beats, razor-sharp guitars, timelessly dark melodies, and minimalist, ominous lyrics sung in Turkish.
The band’s concerts are considered cult events worldwide. Thus, this evening will be a return, a journey restarted, and at the same time an intimate encounter with the beauty of darkness. The pulsating rhythms and the sense of longing will connect everything and everyone, as if the ship itself were drifting away into the dark and mystical night.
