Soon we’ll be sharing songs with you that we’ve never played before, paired with the magical outdoor atmosphere of the Hungarian House of Music! A huge thank you to our guests, Mihály Borbély, a leading figure in Hungarian folk and jazz, and László Földes Hobo, whose presence ensures we’re in for an unforgettable evening. They have not only influenced our musicality, but in their decades-long careers, this evening may well be the first time two Masters from two different worlds meet on one stage.

Várhegyutca is a true crowd-pleasing genre chameleon and an absolute concert band. This 10-member, psychedelic-tinged, experimental Balkan funk group uniquely blends elements of funk, reggae, Balkan, and folk music with unconventional instrumentation. Through their uniquely sounding, joyful music, they have built a constantly growing community. After filling the concert hall at Zene Háza, the band also performed in front of a massive crowd on the Open-Air Stage in 2025, so it’s no surprise that they’re holding their album release concert here as well. They recently performed at the Music Hungary Showcase in front of key figures in the music industry and were also selected as one of the 12 bands supported by the Hangfoglaló Program.
