Rita Halász: Deep Breath
"Perhaps there comes a point in everyone’s life when they would love to move back into their childhood bedroom and take stock of the most important decisions of their life. The protagonist of the play, Vera—a visual artist with a young child—is searching for the answer to why things turned out the way they did for her. The play is the story of a divorce, but it is so much more than that. It speaks of silence and confrontation, memories, ease, snowfall, and heat waves, but above all, of finding our way back to ourselves.
Rita Halász won the Margó Prize in 2021 for her novel *Deep Breath* and was also shortlisted for the Libri Literary Prize.
Actress Hanna Pálos, a member of the Katona József Theater in Budapest, can now be seen in a much more intimate and personal production after portraying significant roles on the main stage.
