Kassai Margit holokauszt-túlélő, noha nem egy koncentrációs tábort, „csak” Budapest ostromát élte túl. Talán akad, aki ettől a mondattól kifut a világból: na, már megint egy történet a sokezerből, ó de unalmas. Hát nem, nem az. És nem pusztán azért, mert ezt a történetet soha nem szabad elfelejtenünk. Kassai Margit nagyszerű elbeszélő, ráadásul még a legvéresebb, legvisszataszítóbb tényt is képes humorral és öniróniával tálalni. Az ember néha kénytelen figyelmeztetni magát, ez nem egy pikareszk kalandregény, viszont a kőkemény valóság. Hihetetlen bátorságával és találékonyságával nem kizárólag a saját, hanem még sokak életét mentette meg. Anélkül, hogy hősi pózba merevedett volna.

The Örkény István Theatre is an independent repertory theatre and one of the most important theatres in the country. Örkény is primarily a prose drama theatre, but our theatre is open to a wide variety of genres. Our repertoire has included more than a hundred works, from antiquity to contemporary works. Regardless of genre, we see the meaning of our work in our choice of high literature, in our careful rehearsals, in our openness to public issues, in our love of humour, grotesque and the many shades of irony. Our ten-year-old theatre education programme was one of the first in Hungary to open up a new channel for active, community-building engagement with audiences.
