This is the eighth time since the series started ten years ago that a Hungarian band has qualified for the world's biggest metal festival to represent Hungary in the international field.
This year's competition is now closed, and the jury has decided that 10 bands have made it through to the second round, this time to compete on stage in front of an audience in the live final at Barba Negra.
The audience will be able to vote for their favourite band on the spot. The final ranking will be decided by a combination of professional judging and audience voting.
