U500_2023
There will be another U500 this year, on 16-17 June 2023 at Artus Studio! The two-day festival, which in recent years has become an important platform for Hungarian contemporary dance and related independent art communities, will take place for the fourth time. U500 is a statement for independent culture. It is also a committed small-format, friendly and professional event, where we seek new connections with each other, with other artists and with you.
The festival is not organised from above and does not discriminate between participants. Well-known artists in the field, emerging artists and undeground groups will be featured side by side. The U500 has grown out of the domestic contemporary dance scene, but from the beginning we have strived to emphasise the potential of cross-genre crossings and boundary crossings. Electronic music, performance, theatre and visual arts are also part of the programme.

Schedule
Every year, the U500 aims to strengthen the mutually supportive, horizontal functioning of the community that makes the festival come alive, to seek alliances and to open it up to the public during this June weekend. In addition to premieres, work-in-progress productions and premiered performances over the two days, as last year, there will be a visual arts exhibition in the gallery and both days will close with musical performances.

The exhibition will be open all day in the gallery space on both days of the festival.
