The Péter Sárik Trio is one of Hungary's most popular jazz ensembles. One of the keys to their success is that all three are very open-minded, versatile musicians, able to appeal to a wide range of audiences. The atmosphere of their concerts is often more akin to a pop or rock concert, even when they play at the Liszt Academy or other large concert halls. The band's directness and energy are winning over many new fans of jazz.
In addition to their own compositions, they are boldly adventurous between genres: they have made four cover albums of songs requested by their audiences and often play transcriptions of classical music. Their Bartók album won the Fonogram Award for Domestic Jazz Album of the Year in 2020, and their Bartók concert album was nominated for the same award in 2023.
