THY CATAFALQUE & PLATON KARATAEV
The dark intersection of Hungarian metal and avant-garde ideas.

Schedule
It is a rare collaboration of stars in Budapest Park, as two bands that are far apart in genres will perform together. Thy Catafalque is clearly the most unique act in Hungarian metal music, especially since they didn't even perform live until a year or two ago. Their music has the Hungarian mystical elements of a folk tale, and as we listen to them, we are easily transported back a few hundred years. Platon Karataev, on the other hand, are more into dark indie-rock with heartbreaking Hungarian lyrics. Although the pairing may seem strange at first, a quick listen will show you how much these two bands have in common.
Budapest Park
Budapest Park, the biggest and coolest open air concert venue of the city hosts the cream of the crop in foreign and domestic mainstream music every year. At first glance, it might seem like the Park is very much out of town, but this is far from the truth - and since the soundsystem was completely renovated last season, we can only recommend the venue even more.
