Where's the guitar string set that James Hetfield used to guitar up Metallica's Master of Puppets or the booming drum head that Ringo used to hit the Beatles' Come Tither? Probably, sadly, they've been trashed and eaten away by oblivion. But how nice it would be if they were, wouldn't it? Won't that chord resonate for us on Spotify until the end of time? There is no other one. Now that's the driving force behind the Bin There project, that unique and unrepeatable imprint that a band leaves behind in a small club, festival, studio or on the big stage of Budapest Park.

Schedule

A lot of orchestral waste is thrown away, which is valuable for fans. It shouldn't be like that! Bin There preserves the spirit of the times through band waste, which typically includes: worn pickguards, broken guitar strings, shattered drumsticks, smashed microphones, cracked cymbals, tattered setlists, or handwritten lyrics by the singers. They all showcase the artist, his music, his party, the venue, and now they are being presented in a new format: a capsule. The concert capsule is basically a Plexiglas tube, the content is put into it, signed by the performer (for authentication) and then sealed with duct tape, as it is the same tape that holds the band together on stage.

It's a project by András Sipos and Ádám Nagy, invented after then guitarist Aaron North broke a Fender Jaguar on stage at a Nine Inch Nails concert in Vienna in 2005, two-thirds of the way through the set, and threw it into the audience, right at Andris. The next moment, 35 people jumped on them and a mid-range, fight-like situation ensued.

They both loved live music as musicians and as fans, and the stuff the band threw was and still is priceless relics. The Bin There project was realised within the Budapest Park and all of the items from the content collected over the years will be available for auction after the exhibition. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to charity. The project was first implemented in 2019 in partnership with the Park, when they were able to offer a donation of 1,200,000 HUF.

The Telep will host the Bin There - Budapest Park '22/23 season collection exhibition, which will feature these capsules and other rock 'n' roll memorabilia in a backstage atmosphere, recalling unforgettable Park concerts by artists such as Deftones, Beton.Hofi, Carson Coma, Krúbi, Irie Maffia, Tankcsapda, Aurevoir. or Lazarvs.
