What does chance do? On 26 December 2003, at our first rehearsal together, none of us could have imagined that less than half a year later we would become a band that would enchant audiences with stage shows, projectors and lasers. Who could have guessed that two AC/DC songs would be worth including in our previous show with Laki Kristó? Then my friend Józsi Kertész (Kojak) had to hear it at a party, who finally gave the initial push: ?..if you listen to me, you'll only play AC/DC!? ? The decision was made! And my old technician buddy Potyesz (Pócsik Zoli) confirmed me! Kristó /brájendzsonzon/ Laci also immediately agreed to form the new band. (Along with many others, I still don't understand how it is possible to sing AC/DC like Laci does). The die was cast. The two AC/DC fanatics Dödi and Sztyopa arrived in the group! Then came the name AB/CD, and that's all that remained! Then came Angus-Hümér with his solos and video clips, and at the first rehearsal Back in Black came on and hit the spot. We knew then, THERE IS POWER! Interestingly enough, the people connected to the band said the same thing, including our now permanent sound engineer József Papp, aka Klaus Barbie, who immediately stood by us and finally the seven-piece was formed!

Hollywood Rose was originally formed as a Guns N' Roses tribute band in the summer of 2003. Since 2008, they have been releasing albums of their own compositions. In 2009, their debut album Minimal Design was released on Hammer Records, followed by a second album, Picnic on the Moon, in 2011. In December 2009, Zsolt Szántai published a book about the history of the band.On 26 February 2019, the band announced that after 16 years, they will cease their activities for an indefinite period. In April, the band was reunited: founding member Zoltán Kanyó "Kanyesz" returned to the rhythm guitar, Sándor Tátrai "Sunny" was reinstated as lead guitarist and Péter Nagy was appointed as vocalist.
