Zuboly

The history of the band dates back to 2004, when Béla Ágoston invited his friends to a birthday party. The line-up at that time was so successful that Zuboly was formed from this "party band" in the autumn of 2005. The transformation into a "pub band" was a slow process; the band, which started out playing in the Csiga Presszó, gradually became more and more well-known. Then came the period when they performed at a place called V. Bejáró, and in 2006, as the opening act for Kispál and the Borz, they played a concert at Petőfi Hall, which really broadened their audience.

After the release of their big album in 2007, they became more and more popular, with Ákos Hargitay incorporating Zuboly's music into his dance house show and Balázs Simon into the Honvéd Kamaraszínház's programme.

While touring abroad, the band realised that Hungarian rap mixed with folk music was a real success. Their concerts abroad were held mainly in Hungarian Cultural Institutes, including Paris, Rome, Bratislava and Vienna. By their own admission, the band reached their peak in 2009 with concerts in the Palace of Arts and the National Theatre.

The Megadó label, which bears the name of András Lovasi, immediately agreed to release their second album, but the release was delayed by almost a year due to copyright issues arising from the band's arrangements, such as the excerpts from Hofi's song "Lazítani".
