A thousand-faced abstract Artists' creative workshop

There is no more inspiring place than the Gallery! In our creative workshops, we take a closer look at some of the works of art and then, inspired by the great masters, we immerse ourselves in the creative process.

We will work with young artists on a variety of themes, including shapes and colours, plants and animals, still life and landscape, figure and portrait, and abstract art. In the process, we'll explore a myriad of exciting techniques - painting, drawing, cutting, gluing, printing... the sky's the limit!

Schedule

The programme is bilingual, and we welcome 8-13 year old artists who speak Hungarian or English.

The workshop will take place twice a month, and for a real immersion, we will work on a theme in a project-based way for two sessions. The themes of the workshop are partly based on each other, but you can join in at any time.

The sessions are led by Alexandra Hegedűs, visual artist and museum educator.

January theme.

11 and 25 January 2024, 15.30-17.30

Chaotic, orderly, exciting, incomprehensible, captivating, repulsive... abstract art can be so diverse while using so many exciting techniques! In January, we'll explore some of the most interesting abstract paintings from our exhibitions and try out some weird but super painting techniques.
