Nagy Emma Quintet

The Nagy Emma Quintet, who burst onto the Hungarian jazz scene in 2018, released their third album in 2022. Drawing from the Bill Evans classical school, but also representing the diversity of contemporary jazz, the quintet sets no limits for itself with Emma Nagy's unique vocals at the centre. Even if some of their music is characterised by elaborate forms, even explicitly song-like compositions, other parts have room for spontaneity, even rocky escapades.
