Schedule
Novi_sad, aka Thanasis Kaproulias, is an artist focusing on sound art and the fine details of places, who lives and works in Ancient Olympia. His work uses special sound recordings and analysis methods similar to those used by NASA. His music has been recognised and performed all over the world and his work has been published by a number of prestigious labels such as raster, Sedimental, Touch, Staalplaat and Sub Rosa. He also serves as Artistic and General Director of the Hertz Festival, and works at the interface between the worlds of art and academia.
The Ultrahang Festival in Budapest influenced him to get involved in music.
Sirens A/V is an innovative project born from the meeting of sound and economic data. The artists (Ryoichi Kurokawa and Novi_sad) transform the dry statistics of stock market crashes and economic crises into music come to life, creating compositions that make the ups and downs of the financial world audible. The project tasked five musicians and sound artists to create pieces that embody the sound of economic data. The tracks were processed by analysing special sound recordings to bring the musical experience to a new level.
The project "IIC - International Internal Catastrophes", created by Novi_sad and Isaac Niemand, inspires viewers to immerse themselves in the deep and complex experience offered by the unity of sound and image. IIC aims to make viewers almost feel the tension and dynamism created by the sounds and visual elements.
