Bottle test

Since the beginning of Pingrumba, we have not only been tasting Middle Eastern food behind the scenes, we have also been regularly introduced to new wines, wineries and winemakers, many of whom are now our friends.

Schedule

Every two weeks on Wednesdays, we open the circle, we would love you to taste with us. At Bottle Tastings we'll be pouring wines, only here, only now, that are only available by the bottle in most places you'll find them.

If we're talking about wine, let's talk about wine, and if we're talking about wine, let's talk about wine - and luckily, from February onwards, we'll be joined from time to time by our winemaking friends who are well-versed in the subject and who you can ask questions while you sip.

We'll be back with a list of current wines in a few days!

Location

PINGRUMBA

The Pingrumba restaurant in Buda, like Dobrumba, is inspired by our travels, but we're venturing further east than the Mediterranean region we've already explored. With one foot still planted in our favourite Middle Eastern and North African landscapes, we're crossing the Caucasus chains, exploring ancient Persia, jumping into the wild steppes of West Asia and not stopping until the ever-fabulous India. With our seasonally changing, thousand-and-one-flavoured dishes, fused with oriental spices and locally sourced ingredients, and our well-researched drinks menu, we aim to create not only memorable dishes but also communal experiences at the table. The Buda location was home to Ping Chinese Restaurant for twenty-some years. Now we've revived it and created a lush, open-air indoor garden. We designed the guest space to make families with small children, small and large groups feel like they are guests, thousands of kilometres east of Széll Kálmán Square.
