In the Sufis' view, sounds and the vibrations they produce do not disappear, but continue to resonate at the place where they are made, forming an infinite chain. Everything that once sounded somewhere still continues to resonate, and so by listening we can penetrate earlier layers of time.

In Dávid Somló's contemplative work for Hangdóm, sustained resonant musical sounds and imagined soundscapes flow imperceptibly into each other, accompanied by a projection based on a dreamlike animation of his own analogue photographs, giving the viewer space to immerse themselves in the sounds and their own memories.
