DERKOVITS will be the title of Anima Sound System's next album, to be released in early 2024, which will pay tribute not only to the great Szombathely painter Gyula Derkovits, but also to the other heroes of the band (Archipenko, Hugo Ball, Andy Weatherall and many others), but it takes us back to the roots of the group, because the Prieger brothers and several members of the orchestra not only grew up in the residential area named after the painter, but the Szombathelyan and "West Hungarian" spirit permeates the entire Anima career.

The album will also include a Bowie Heroes cover - speaking of heroes - but there will also be a joint song with violinist Luca Kézdy and voice poet Kinga Tóth. It will be exciting, boundary-pushing and energetic, and of course the concert that will present it will be exciting, danceable and thought-provoking, crazy and clever, as we have come to expect from Anima over the past 30 years.
