With a career spanning twenty-eight years, Dropkick Murphys are still exploring new things, and their Celtic-infused punk rock is even wilder live than you'd expect. A prolific group for decades, they have twelve studio albums to their name, four of which (Going Out In Style, Signed and Sealed in Blood, 11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory, Turn Up That Dial) have debuted in the top 10 on Billboard's album charts, as did 2005's The Warrior's Code.

The latter became a gold record, which is no wonder, as it also includes the almost double-platinum crowd favourite classic I'm Shipping Up To Boston, which was also featured in Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning film The Brick. On 11 June, almost to the day, they will be back in Budapest Park after 10 years on stage.

Budapest Park, the biggest and coolest open air concert venue of the city hosts the cream of the crop in foreign and domestic mainstream music every year. At first glance, it might seem like the Park is very much out of town, but this is far from the truth - and since the soundsystem was completely renovated last season, we can only recommend the venue even more.
