In the spring of 2024, Raymond McLain, retired director of Morehead State University and leader of the legendary McLain Family Band, will visit Hungary again.For the third year in a row, he has mentored young Hungarian folk musicians in the United States.

György Ferenczi, who coordinates the program from the Hungarian side, and the 1-piece Pesti Rackák band and Raymond McLain are preparing for another collaboration. The result of this will be presented at the Hungarian House of Music, where they will be joined on stage by the young talents of the Katlan and Kaptza orchestras participating in the mentoring programme and other invited guests.
The authentic sound will again be provided by Air Trumpet microphones in the concert hall of the MZH, but the structure and musical material of the concert will be radically different from last year. The concert will be preceded by a panel discussion to give an insight into the training programme.
