Megadeath
Megadeth is an American thrash metal band led by founder, guitarist, frontman and songwriter Dave Mustaine. The band was formed in 1983 after Mustaine left Metallica.

Schedule
After more than a decade, the legendary American band will play a solo Megadeth concert in Budapest: on 9 June at Barba Negra. The band will present their 16th album, 2022, on the Red Stage. The album The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead! marks the end of a difficult year in the band's history: not only the epidemic that has plagued everyone, but also the throat cancer that has struck Dave Mustaine, the cancelled tours and the treatments that have been required have made the band's daily life difficult.
Mustaine formed the band at the age of 21, shortly after leaving Metallica, and their music was defined from the start by the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal style, but performed at a faster tempo, with excellent instrumental skills and an almost punk aggression. Megadeth are one of the Big Four, considered the founding fathers of thrash metal. With over 50 million albums sold, the group has a string of platinum records to their name and, after numerous nominations, they were recognised with a Grammy Award in 2017. Megadeth, which started 40 years ago, has featured a number of musicians alongside Dave, the most recent official member being guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari, who joins from Wintersun and has performed live with the band this fall. Public ticket sales for the June concert will open on 11 December.
