Bruce Dickinson

Bruce Dickinson is best known as the lead singer of Iron Maiden, but he is also a true multi-talented writer, pilot, broadcaster, brewer, businessman, sportsman, spoken word performer, screenwriter and successful solo singer. He has been seen several times with Iron Maiden in Hungary, most recently in 2022, and four years ago he performed a one-man show that was a huge hit, a stand-up comedy hit. Now he's coming back to Budapest as a solo performer with his own songs.

On the album The Mandrake Project, due out in early 2024, Dickinson has teamed up again with his old bandmate and producer Roy Z. It will be the singer's seventh solo album and his first since 2005's Tyranny Of Souls.

The first single is Afterglow of Ragnarok, a dramatic and epic song that introduces the world not only to the music of the album, but also to the compelling narrative that underpins The Mandrake Project. It will be released on 1 December as a vinyl single, which will also include an eight-page comic book.

"It was important to set the tone for the project with this track," explains Dickinson. "True to its title, it's a hard-hitting song, with an amazing riff leading the way... but there's also a real melody in the chorus that shows the light and shadow play that the rest of the album will bring... and just wait until you see the video!"

With concert dates announced in Brazil and Mexico for April and May next year back in September, Bruce Dickinson and his phenomenal band - made up of guitarist Roy Z, drummer Dave Moreno, bassist Tanya O'Callaghan and keyboard maestro Mistheria - have now unveiled a continuation of the tour with a number of European dates - including one in Budapest - alongside several European festival appearances.

Dickinson previously revealed, "This album has been a very personal journey for me and I'm extremely proud of it. Roy Z and I have spent years planning, writing and recording it and I'm very excited for people to finally hear it. I'm even more excited about the possibilities of going on the road with this amazing band we've put together to perform it live. We plan to play as many shows as we can, in as many places as we can, to as many people as we can! What The Mandrake Project really is... all will be revealed soon!"
