Redbreast Wilson & the Mad Dog Margaritas
2024-03-16T15:00:00.000Z
"Redbreast Wilson was an exciting figure in the not very large, but all the more active, domestic blues scene, as he also played a little-known variant of the blues, the hypnotically, danceable, repetitive North Mississippi hill country blues - brilliantly. After two albums in 2019, he switched from the blues to country." He released his first country record Tradin' Your Love in 2022, followed by his single New Mexico Sun in 2023. (Recorder)

Schedule
"Eternal human experiences, acoustic sound and, of course, the romance of emblematic American regions [...] these are also the cornerstones of Sam's music, but in the middle, one element towers and holds the system together: storytelling. The American traditions of ballad songwriting are Sam's inspiration, and his songs are often they are closer to poetry than to music." (Art7.hu)
On March 11, Akusztik will be accompanied by his band Mad Dog Margaritas. Contributors: Krisztina Volkova (vocals, accordion), Andor Vörös (pedal steel), Feri Szász (guitar), Kártoly Horváth (bass) Danny Bain (drums).
Location
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
