65 +/- Till We Grow Old - opening
The 65 +/- exhibition draws attention to the exclusion experienced by older people and the stereotypes associated with aging. Through personal stories, the presented works highlight the active and community-oriented side of the older generation.

Schedule
The group exhibition 65 +/- explores one of the most significant yet invisible issues facing aging societies: the marginalization of older people. It is grounded in the fundamental realization that old age is the inevitable future of us all.
Systemic ageism perpetuates conceptions of old age as alienating social constructs, further aggravated by economic vulnerability and the lack of adequate legal protections. In contrast to the approaches typically found in political, economic, or healthcare discourses, the exhibition emphasizes the self-organizing potential of older generations and the possibility of experiencing retirement as an active, community-oriented stage of life. The exhibited works, along with participatory practices developed in collaboration with older adults, create space for individual voices hidden behind the umbrella term “retiree”, while also attempting to rethink ingrained social narratives surrounding aging.
