Mass Of The Fermenting Dregs
One of the most exciting bands on the Japanese alternative rock scene, MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS (MOTFD), is coming to Budapest in the autumn of 2027 as part of the Iwaou The Tour!

Hailing from Kobe, the trio – led by bassist and vocalist Natsuko Miyamoto – has become a defining force on the Japanese post-hardcore and shoegaze scene. Their music blends tense, overwhelming guitar sounds with catchy, almost pop-like melodies and ethereal vocals – creating an intense and unmistakable soundscape.
The tour will showcase the band’s first new album in four years, *Iwaou*, which is due for digital release on 14 August 2026. At the Budapest concert, alongside tracks from the new album, the band will also perform defining moments from their career and audience favourites.
