Schedule

Improvisation, but not quite improvisation: three chamber musicians perform works that they have never played together before – at the concert of Ditta Rohman (cello), Eszter Kruchió (violin) and Imre Dani we can share in this special and rare experience. The artists offer the finest pieces from the chamber music repertoire of Viennese Classicism and early Romanticism – works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Mendelssohn – from which the audience can choose what they would like to hear, and the three brave performers will bring them to life on the spot, without any prior rehearsal process. In this way we can get to know aspects of making music together and of the interaction between the musicians that a more conventional chamber concert does not usually reveal, and at the same time we can all become, in a small way, programme editors ourselves.
