This summer, tweens take center stage in editory’s pink-floored urban cultural living room. We’re launching two week-long creative camps where design thinking, contemporary art, and free experimentation come together at the heart of the experience.

What if, instead of simply buying the objects we use every day, we made them ourselves?

Everyday Design Studio

Everyday Design Studio is an inspiring, hands-on camp where children can explore the basics of object design through playful experimentation while creating their own unique objects.

Throughout the week, each day focuses on a different everyday object—small-scale and personal in nature. Participants observe the objects that surround them, explore how they support our daily lives, and discover how a simple tool can become practical, special, and deeply personal. Children research, brainstorm, design, and ultimately bring their ideas to life.

An important part of the camp is developing critical thinking: together we discuss trends, advertising, rapidly changing fashions, and consumer culture. Why do we desire certain objects? What makes something “cool”? What happens when we stop buying ready-made products and start creating them ourselves? The emphasis is on independent ideas, experimentation, and the development of a personal visual language—all within the atmosphere of a mini design studio. Through the joy of making, the program aims to strengthen creative thinking, independent problem-solving, and participants’ confidence in exploring their own visual world.

Led by: Borbála Marosán and Boglárka Varga

Borbála and Boglárka are MOME alumni whose collaborative practice is rooted in social design and design education. Coming from families of educators, their work focuses on critical thinking, democratic education, and the active involvement of children. Borbála currently works as a researcher on child participation projects, while Boglárka, with a background in product design, teaches technology and design at a school in Budapest.

Contemporary Creators Studio

Date: August 3–7, 2026

5 days. 5 contemporary artists. 5 techniques. Contemporary Creators Studio is a week dedicated to experimentation and discovery, where participants explore the world of contemporary art and a variety of creative techniques through playful and inspiring experiences. Throughout the camp, each day focuses on a different contemporary artist: participants will gain insight into the work of the illustrators at the art print studio next door to editory, becoming familiar with their visual worlds, ways of thinking, and the techniques they use in their practice.

Over the course of the week, a wide range of artistic forms will be explored, from watercolor painting and ink drawing to collage, sculpture-making, and various mixed-media practices. Children will not only acquire technical skills but also experience how an idea can be transformed into a tangible creation. As part of the program, they will get a behind-the-scenes look at the print studio and observe its inspiring day-to-day life up close.

An important aspect of the camp is free experimentation and the discovery of one's own visual language, with the focus placed on the joy of creating and the development of individual ideas. Through the collaborative creative process, participants can become more open to the world of contemporary art while developing their visual sensitivity, creative thinking, and self-expression.

Led by: Hanna Gollob

Hanna graduated from MOME with a degree in Animation, but as an endlessly curious creator she feels at home in a wide range of artistic techniques. For years she has also led children’s camps, where she shares her love of visual creativity in a playful and inspiring way.
