As part of the Tranzit Event Series, another evening with Márai will take place in the garden of the Petőfi Literary Museum on September 8. Featuring István Hirtling, Tibor Mészáros and Dániel Szabó, the evening will explore Sándor Márai’s relationship with wine, his humour and irony, accompanied by a wine tasting by St. Andrea

This time, we invite you to discover a different side of Sándor Márai: his love of wine, his subtle irony and his unique sense of humour.
On September 8, we return to the world of Sándor Márai in the garden of the Petőfi Literary Museum. During the evening, actor István Hirtling will perform selected texts by Márai about wine, everyday life and society, filled with humour and irony. Literary historian Tibor Mészáros will introduce this lesser-known side of the writer and share stories about his life and work. Cimbalom player Dániel Szabó will provide the music for the evening.
Before and after the performance, St. Andrea Winery will offer a wine tasting, and guests will also have the opportunity to purchase wines from the winery.
