The music of 1-ső Pesti Rackák blends a deep love for Hungarian culture with the spirit of the rock’n’roll revolution.
In their programme, a Kalotaszeg dawn melody can sit naturally alongside poems by Sándor Petőfi and Attila Gérecz, just as easily as the music of Jimi Hendrix.
Their fusion-based sound draws strongly from Hungarian folk music, while also incorporating elements of rhythm & blues, funk, reggae, hip-hop, and groove. The result is a highly energetic performance, where humour, rich musical content, and a positive spirit turn the evening into an engaging and memorable experience.
