Chris (Bart Harder) and Lluis (Carles Pullido) were once best friends and roommates. A decade later, the two men, now in their thirties, reunite and set out on a 600-kilometer hike through the Scottish Highlands. Following the hiking trails of the Western Highlands and Cape Wrath, they spend 30 days together in nature, hoping to rekindle their former, strong friendship. The solitude and silence of the Scottish Highlands compel them to confront their own midlife crises, the past and future of their friendship, and what it truly means to pause and pay attention to nature’s subtlest movements. To everyone’s surprise, the film made it onto the European Film Academy’s shortlist last year in the Best European Film category.
