Celebrating their 20th birthday in 2024, Fonogram award-winning Anna and the Barbies are one of the most charismatic figures in Hungarian music, one of Hungary's most diverse and daring bands, who have won acclaim from the industry as well as from the public.
Anna Pásztor, the band's frontwoman, is a versatile, sensitive artist who reaches out to a wide audience and is constantly innovating.
A performer, lyricist and songwriter, she and her fellow musicians have become a major figure in the country through perseverance, creativity and humility. Their song "Márti's Song", with the motto "start living", is now a household word.
With unabashedly honest and upliftingly positive lyrics, a pulsating, captivating rock sound and a powerful stage presence, Anna and the Barbies are winning over their audiences. They have already dreamed up several special productions, such as a feature-length orchestral film (Sleepless), major concerts at the Budapest Circus and the National Theatre.

Thália Theatre
In the Thália Theatre, the focus is on light-hearted entertainment, in the spirit of the "Pest Broadway" of Nagymező Street. The Thália Winter Garden, inaugurated in 2019, is a little more serious, while the Arizona Studio is home to independent productions. In 2017, the capital reaffirmed its confidence in the management, with Gábor Kálomista applying for the post of managing director and Géza Bereményi as an advisor.
