Savages & Tripcat

The Savages and Suefo duo have already released albums under different aliases. Among others, they are also known as Savages y Suefo, The Worldstylers or Sannan. Sometimes this was for publishing or legal reasons, sometimes they just wanted to separate their albums of different styles. That's why the latest disc, which has just been released, has been renamed. Lately, instrumental hiphop has been mixed with exotica, which has given birth to Savages & Tripcat.

Schedule

The first EP was self-released in May this year, but in the meantime negotiations with Cold Busted Records, one of instrumental hiphop's most stable bastions, were underway. The US label features artists such as saib., Kill Emil, Mister T, Sim Nagai, The Deli and Shinji, so it was a great pleasure when the label said yes to the collaboration. In August and September, the first two singles and a music video were released, and on October 18th, the full-length album Imaginarium will be released. The album features the aforementioned instrumental hip-hop and exotic elements, but also has a Latin flavour. It differs from the guys' previous material in that there are no guest musicians or guest singers. In addition to Imaginarium's material, the Fotelbáros album launch will also feature songs from the EP, as well as some unreleased tracks and bootlegs. In addition to the digital formats, Imagianrium will be released on a super-designed cassette and plain black and clear blue vinyl. The latter can only be ordered from the label's website. Anyone who orders from there will now also be part of a promotion whereby a tree will be planted on the island of Madagascar with every order of our physical edition. That alone makes it worth it... Entry is free!

Location

Dürer Kert

Dürer Kert, which moved from the City Park to the vicinity of Kopaszi Dam, is one of the hangouts of Budapest's surviving peripheral subcultures, but it's also worth visiting if you just want a perfect garden spot. That is, starting in spring. Until then, let's keep rockin'! And after that, too.
