These Budapest youngsters were not blown together by the spring wind: the neo-psychedelic Glencz, drawing inspiration from Hungarian folk music, conceptually blends modular synthesizers with shepherd's purse, vibrating and booming basses with guitars that sometimes pretend to be citeras, and magical-cosmic vocals with the roughly rasping organ. The band's debut debut, Betyárwestern 2024, based on a folk song with a similar title, has been available on Spotify, YouTube and other platforms since August 2024, and their latest track, Dunántúli, will be available from December!

A scratchy and explosive Budapest rock band.

Their English and Hungarian-language music is energetic and tight, reaching back to the roots of the genre with respect, but also trying to show something new. Melodic distorted guitar riffs, pounding drums, and thumping bass complement the powerful vocals, creating a real sultry pub vibe.

The eight-piece band first found each other as high school friends, and their shared interests evolved into a colourful, artful musical tapestry over the long haul. The band moves along an experimental funk-blues-rock-jazz-afrobeat axis in its own solar system: funk is the new punk!
