Schedule

With his choreography, Máté Mészáros explores the subtle nuances of space, the distances between bodies and the tension inherent in spaces. He intricately blends harmonic and disharmonious systems to create a dynamic interplay. The spaces and relationships between performers and spectators are constantly shifting, invading each other's personal space, creating a fusion between dancers and spectators, placing everyone in direct confrontation.

The three performers from very different backgrounds (one trained in classical ballet, one with a folk dance background and one trained in specific contemporary techniques) and the musician venture so close into each other's auras that the audience is able to move away from their usual interpretative constraints. The bodies here put dance into a visual art perspective, not because of their performative capacity, but because of their plastic, constantly malleable materiality. Space, movement and music form a fabric that fills the various spaces of the Hungarian Music Hall, allowing the audience to move freely and relate to it.
