“Are Moin a band? They are three people who play music together and write “songs,” so technically, probably, yes. But the trio’s approach to composition is lopsided, wonky. They aren’t splatter-paint artists, not quite, but they have a slash-and-burn approach to what is essentially rock music. Perhaps that’s because two of the band’s three members have spent much of their music careers not making it.” (Matthew Schnipper, Pitchfork)

Schedule
Moin are a London-based three-piece featuring Tom Halstead and Joe Andrews of the electronic outfit Raime, alongside visionary percussionist Valentina Magaletti. Their music recontextualizes a range of guitar-based genres like grunge, shoegaze, and post-rock through an enigmatic reimagining of the traditional band dynamic. Employing both conventional and unique compositional techniques, their sound is marked by a visceral immediacy that comes to life in full force during their live performances. Moin walk the line between the reassuringly familiar and the unsettlingly inquisitive.
