On 2-3 June, we are organising a weekend of relaxation on Rákóczi Square and the adjacent Vásár and Víg streets under the name GyereKi. Come out for badminton, sailing races, exhibitions, films, talks!

The shops in Vásár and Víg Street will be in special operation on Friday and Saturday. Come and browse, switch off and relax!

On the occasion of the birthday, shoppers can look forward to new arrivals, special offers and guest creators on these two days.

🎨Pop-up exhibition at the K.É.S. Workshop (Víg utca 22.)
The K.É.S. Workshop is preparing for the weekend with a pop-up exhibition of contemporary jewellery and classic jewellery. Talk, look at jewellery, eat with them!

🐲10:00 Kite making and flying at Rákóczi Square
It hasn't been in the news yet, but soon smiling kites will fill the skies above Rákószi Square. Of course, you'll need to get involved - we invite you to a kite-making workshop. We'll give you the tools and professional help, and once you're ready, you can fly your kite.
💦11:00 Motorboats on the lake near Rákóczi Square
For one afternoon, the motorboats will be back on the lake at the Rákóczi Square metro station. Slaloming is not so easy - come and try it for yourself! We provide the race track and the speedboats. Everyone who completes the course will receive a raffle ticket to win a gift.
🏸10:00 - 14:00 Badminton on Rákóczi Square. Come out and play badminton with us!
We provide professional rackets, balls and coaches. The programme is supported by the Budapest Badminton Association.
📖10:00 - 18:00 Gypsy story reading and activities
With the help of the Uccu Foundation, you can gain insight into the world of Gypsy folk tales, moderated by Roma youth
🚶♀️🚶♂️14:00 - 15:30 Illuminated nights - guided walk
The only one in the capital's market halls is the one on Rákóczi Square, which serves as a "fabulous gate", and through which you and your guide will have the opportunity to enter the world of the descendants of the former outlaws and highwaymen. Gangsters, grifters, burglars and pimps from Józsefváros line the paths, with the still-living memories of vulnerable prostitutes, greengrocers and other caterers, drawing the supposedly secret daily routines of criminals.
The walk is free, but registration is required and we can only accept registrations from the first 20 people who sign up. Participation will be confirmed by email.
