8. European Art cinema day
"Europe goes to the movies again!" - For the eighth time, art cinema and European film lovers are invited to the European Art Cinema Day, which will take place on Sunday 12 November in hundreds of art cinemas in 38 countries. Launched by the International Confederation of Art Cinemas (CICAE) and the Europa Cinemas network, this transnational event aims to raise awareness of the importance of art cinemas as cultural and community spaces and of the diversity of European cinema.

Schedule
The cinemas participating in the programme, including almost all Hungarian art cinemas, including of course the art cinemas of Budapest FIlm, will be hosting premiere screenings of festival award-winning films.
This year's line-up includes exciting new European co-productions, from Palme d'Or winners at Cannes to award-winning dramas in Berlin and Venice, Spanish comedies and Danish family animation, as well as two new Hungarian films.
The national cinemas that have joined the programme will select a selection of these to screen on 12 November, giving viewers the chance to be the first to see the selected films at the European Art Cinema Day screenings, weeks or months before their national premieres.
The national programme is organised by the Art-Mozi Association with the support of the National Cultural Fund and the Hungarian Academy of Arts.
Let's meet on 12 November and celebrate European cinema together again!
