Bilingual creative workshop for children

There is no place more inspiring than the Gallery! In our creative workshops, we take a closer look at some of the works of art and then, inspired by the great masters, we immerse ourselves in the creative process.

We will work with young artists on a variety of themes, including shapes and colours, plants and animals, still life and landscape, figure and portrait, and abstract art. In the process, we will explore a myriad of exciting techniques - painting, drawing, cutting, gluing, printing... the sky's the limit!

The programme is bilingual and welcomes artists aged 8-13 who speak Hungarian or English.

The workshop will take place twice a month, and for a real immersion, we will work on a theme in a project-based way for two sessions. The themes of the workshop are partly based on each other, but you can join in at any time.

The sessions are led by Alexandra Hegedűs, visual artist and museum educator.

December theme.

7 and 14 December 2023, 15.30-17.30

Santa Claus and Christmas are finally back! In December, we'll dive into the festive preparations, including the story of St Nicholas and the Gallery's strangest Christmas painting. We'll get creative and make unique wrapping paper and Christmas tree decorations.
