Folk musician and music mediator Julcsi Laposa, author of the folk sound-colours colouring booklet series, invites her audience of preschool and school-age children to a carnival party at the Hungarian House of Music.

Julcsi's cultural mission is to spread the fabulous power of folk music; to discover folk customs and traditions and pass them on to posterity, as he would say "folk education, passing on culture through play." He believes that without our roots and traditions we would be lost, so learning about them cannot start early enough.
In their performance, they present the year's significant wintertime folk traditions with the help of folk instruments and rhythm instruments. Through folk games, dances and singing together, everyone will be part of an active programme "where tradition becomes an experience".
