The goal of this three-hour workshop is to collectively build a liberating, shared “witch party” through various body-focused exercises. During the process, there will be space and time to connect with our own bodies, to turn our attention inward through guided meditation, to shut out the outside world, and to gradually connect with one another in a safe environment, letting go of inhibitions while reinterpreting familiar theatrical spaces and conventions.

The event begins with drama and movement exercises from Gondolat Generátor, followed by a singing bowl session led by Zita Thury, and then a fashion dance class where you can experience the vibe of backup dancers reminiscent of the world of music videos from the ’90s and 2000s.By the end of the evening, we’ll work together to create our own choreography, which will culminate in a witch’s party. At the same time, we also invite you to join Emese Cuhorka’s program titled Attax, taking place in the main hall, for half an hour—either individually or in small groups. This program offers a private and safe setting to experience what it feels like to move naked in a theatrical space (this part of the program is entirely private and optional). Afterward, the witch party continues throughout the entire building.

Have you ever participated in a Witch Club? Or were you just curious about it? Do you easily let yourself go while dancing, or does the idea make you anxious, but you’d like to experience it within the framework of a guided process? Then the Witch Party is waiting for you!

If you have any questions or requests for the program organizers, please contact us at [email protected].

What is the Trafó Witch Club?

The Witch Club is a women’s pop-up creative circle and knowledge-sharing, self-development platform related to Trafó’s new focus themes, organized by Trafó’s participatory workshop, the Thought Generator. During these sessions, we become a temporary community, get to know each other and the aspects of the topic that matter to us, and learn useful skills from invited experts. You can join the Witch Club four times throughout the season.
