mama is a nebulous space somewhere on the edge of sensuality. The bodies that exist within it are powered by cellular organs that blur the boundaries between the inside and the outside. The condition they maintain is a kind of embodied self-abnegation, in which being human is often more a matter of materiality than identity.
mama's aim is to nurture a reality made up of the fabric of myriad relationships in which the sensual and the erotic transcend the set of human interactions.
Schedule
After its premiere in December 2024, the first group choreography of gergő farkas d. can be seen again - this time with a new cast, performed by Csaba Molnár, Zsófia Tamara Vadas and Júlia Vavra.
farkas d. gergő's works, which are both bizarre and sensual, created with a unique vision, have been attracting considerable national and international attention for years. The young artist works with the organ-ing method: we saw in their solo performance bébi, nominated for the Rudolf Lábán Prize and selected for the Aerowaves Twenty25 selection, and it inspired the creative process behind mama. Organ-ing is a queer approach towards the body that focuses on promoting a worlding that transcends the boundaries of the body, in which the material and the fantastic synthesise.
