A night with Spellwind River at Gödöllő

Acoustic and electric, string and plucked instruments together are capable of producing a wide variety of sounds. From soft carpet to solo rock, there's room for everything. Our name was inspired by a magical board game. In our imagination, heroes weary from their mission rested on the banks of an enchanted river, entertaining each other with stories, songs, and tales. The camp slowly became a settlement, and Spellwind River was born.

Our performances feature a fusion of American country and European pop-rock. Our musical style is characterized by pushing boundaries. Due to its lively, but at times dark and distinctive tone, we call it urban country. We mostly play our own songs written in Hungarian, but occasionally songs and covers by other artists are also featured in our program, such as true country from Sugarland or blues from Vaya Con Dios, yet every song reinforces the unique atmosphere of Spellwind River. Country, blues, and rock are present in the lyrics and in the songs themselves. Sometimes melancholic, sometimes poignant, or even hit-worthy, our songs can be enjoyed by all ages. Listening to our repertoire, everyone will find moments of enjoyment in our show, and even something to dance to.

The members of our band have significant professional backgrounds, knowledge, and experience. Our singers, the girls, represent serious stage power. Alongside them, violins, flute, male vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, and other noise-making instruments add color to the performance.
